I am passionate about lifelong learning and the necessity to meet each patient right where they are. 

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I am currently in advanced training to become a psychoanalyst at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC) to further hone my skills and to provide what I believe to be the most effective long-lasting treatment there is. In addition to my private practice, I led psycho-educational group classes at Kaiser Oakland from 2002-2012 on treating depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors with food, and couples communication.  Prior to being a therapist, I worked as a consultant and administrator for a non-profit agency working in Bay area public schools with children K-12 with behavioral and developmental challenges.
